DAY BY DAY ITINERARY


Upon arrival in Kigali, you’ll be met by your local guide for a warm welcome and a guided tour of Rwanda’s capital. Visit the powerful Kigali Genocide Memorial, wander through artisan markets, and get a taste of local cuisine. Later, drive north through Rwanda’s scenic highlands to Volcanoes National Park, arriving at your lodge nestled on the edge of the forest. After an early breakfast, transfer to park headquarters for a briefing and group assignment. Your gorilla trekking experience begins as you hike through bamboo forest and volcanic terrain with an expert tracker team. Once you find your assigned gorilla family, you’ll spend a magical hour observing these gentle giants — a life-changing encounter.
