Explore Mount Kenya like never before by combining two scenic approaches—Sirimon and Naro Moru—with the Peak Circuit Route that encircles the mountain’s main summits: Batian and Nelion. This 6-day trek offers an incredible mix of alpine beauty, wildlife, and adventure.
The Sirimon Route on the northwestern side of the mountain offers one of the most gradual ascents and beautiful forest trails. The Peak Circuit Trail then takes you around the glacial valleys and alpine ridges, giving panoramic views few ever experience. Finally, you descend via the steeper and popular Naro Moru Route, completing a unique cross-mountain adventure.
Perfect for hikers with a strong sense of adventure and desire for a diverse and scenic trekking experience on Africa’s second-highest mountain.

DAY BY DAY ITINERARY


Early morning drive from Nairobi to Sirimon Gate (2,650m) Registration and short trek through forest to Old Moses Camp Distance: ~9km / Duration: 3–4 hours Overnight at Old Moses Camp (a.k.a. Judmaier Camp)
Trek through scenic Moorland, passing Liki North Valley Cross Mackinder’s Valley with stunning views of peaks ahead Distance: ~14km / Duration: 6–8 hours Overnight at Shipton’s Camp, situated below the peaks
Light trek up to Hausberg Col and back Acclimatization helps your body prepare for the summit Great views of the surrounding peaks and valleys Return and overnight at Shipton’s Camp
Join the Peak Circuit Trail, passing Simba Tarn, and Tooth Col Incredible high-altitude scenery, glaciers, and rock towers Reach Austrian Hut (below Point Lenana) Overnight at Austrian Hut or Simba Tarn Camp
